Love feels like playing with fire.

Self-love. Romantic Love. Familial Love.

It all sounds enticing, desirable, warm.

And continues to burn you no matter what you try or how close you get.

It’s the thing you want the most.

You may crave it more than anything else. But you fear it just as much.

After all, people have disappointed you and perhaps even hurt you physically, sexually, or emotionally. People seem way less consistent than a dog, and you’re tired of feeling like you’re not good enough.

Even your ability to love yourself feels compromised after all the hurt you’ve sustained.

Ouch! No wonder you’ve disconnected.

It is easier to hide your vulnerability under your success, business, or workout routine.

It is simpler to be in friendships and partnerships that allow you to remain slightly detached.

It feels easier not to ask for help; to medicate your loneliness with substances, food, and exercise; and to disconnect from your own desire and your body’s longing.

Sure, it might be nice…

… to be seen, kissed, or considered again.

But it doesn’t feel worth the risk.

Until you get sick, or hit some sense of purposelessness, or get shaken by tragedy. Until your vulnerability nails you in the face.

And there you are, confronted with your
longing.

Then it becomes evident that you can’t outrun your own loneliness or bury your heart. There is nothing in the world that could distract you from the desire to feel connected to yourself, your partner, your community.

Then there is no one to bring you chicken soup when you’re sick.

Then your partner doesn’t know you well enough to hold you the right way in your darker moments.

Here’s the good news:

The human heart can break over and over and still stretch wider and grow stronger.

If you have come face to face with your desire or vulnerability, you have already taken the first step toward a better relationship with yourself and with others.

The things that seem out of reach are right in front of you.

Learn more about me and my approach

Hi, I’m Sylvie

I am here to help you grab the things you want – starting with recreating a positive relationship with yourself.

We are always, always in relationships.

We are in romantic relationships, familial relationships, professional relationships, spiritual relationships, and in relationships with the natural world. The most important relationship, however, is with ourselves. In the wise words of Rupi Kaur…

“Loneliness is a sign you are in desperate need of yourself.”

It’s not just you.

Pain and trauma make it hard for everyone to feel themselves, to love their bodies, and to show up for others. That’s okay.

Through embodiment and mindfulness practices. we can help you feel like yourself again.

Using my training in body-based therapy, we will slow down long enough to listen to your heart and reconnect to your inner worthiness and resilience.

Throughout the process, I will support you to feel safe and in control of your body and healing while diving deeper into residual trauma, sexual blocks, and limiting patterns.

Whether you are looking for individual or couples therapy, you will ultimately leave feeling more confident in your ability to be your own advocate while deftly navigating whatever current conflicts are arising in your present day life.

Ready to stretch yourself
and your heart in a gentle
and supported way?
